What the Google Workspace integration does
Each client's users, licenses and managed devices sit next to the rest of their documentation, refreshed automatically.
Setting it up
DokLocker reads each client's Google Workspace through one service account that each client's admin trusts.
- In Google Cloud console create a project (one for all your clients), turn on the Admin SDK API and the Enterprise License Manager API, create a service account, and add a JSON key. Paste the whole key file into Google Workspace under Integrations.
- On the Sync page add each client with the email of one of their Google Workspace admins. DokLocker reads as that admin and never changes anything.
- The client's super admin opens admin.google.com › Security › Access and data control › API controls › Manage domain-wide delegation, clicks Add new, and pastes the client ID and scopes the Sync page shows.
- Click Sync now.
Users become User records with their title, phone and Google Workspace licenses (suspended and archived accounts without a license are skipped), a Google Workspace licenses note shows how many of each license are assigned, and managed Chromebooks come in as workstations with serial number, model, ChromeOS version and last sync.
Included in every plan
Every integration is included at no extra cost, on the hosted service and self-hosted. Connect it under Admin › Integrations, click Test, and the first sync starts straight away.
