How switching from Hudu works
DokLocker reads Hudu directly through its API, so there's nothing to export.
- In Hudu go to Admin › API Keys and create a key. Leave it unrestricted so it can see every company and password.
- In DokLocker open Admin › Import / Export › Switch to DokLocker › From Hudu.
- Enter your Hudu address (for example
https://yourcompany.huducloud.com) and the key, then click Read Hudu and preview. - Pick the companies and click Import selected.
The key is used once and never saved. What Hudu sends is kept encrypted until the import runs, then deleted. You can delete the key in Hudu afterwards.

Questions
How do I move from Hudu to DokLocker?
There's nothing to export. Create an API key in Hudu, enter it with your Hudu address under Admin › Import / Export, preview every company, and pick which ones to bring in. The key is used once and never saved.
Do asset layouts come over?
Yes. Each Hudu asset layout becomes a DokLocker record type with the same fields, so your custom assets keep their shape.
Can I run DokLocker on my own server like Hudu?
Yes. DokLocker runs self-hosted with Docker on a server or NAS, or on our hosted service. It's the same product either way.
